In 2007 SMI introduced on its rotary stretch-blow molders the innovative ARS system (Air Recovery System), which allows to recover up to 40% of the compressed air used during the process of PET bottle production and up to 20% of the electricity necessary to operate the plant. The ARS system is supplied as standard equipment with all Smiform SR stretch-blow molders, as well as with all integrated systems of blowing, filling, capping and labelling of the ECOBLOC® series.
